Four versions of MS Office 2007, and why moving to Vista is not quite a good idea

Just finished wrestling MS Office 2007 to behave.
Four versions of it.
Legality is not an issue here, when my thesis — and by extension, my life — is on the line.

Everybody knows cats are no pets; whoever ‘owns’ one practically adopts a master.
I’ve come to realise that no one uses Microsoft OS and its programmes either.
Whoever installs them just submits himself as a slave.

Vista: § screen dims, da-ding sounds, a window pops up §
Me: Oh, noooos.
Vista: Windows needs your permission.
Me: Go ahead.
Vista: § halts § This action might not be a good idea…
Me: Of course, it is.
Vista: Are you sure you would like to &insert innocuous action here&?
Me: § glares § Yes!
Vista: Are you really, really sure?
Me: Who’s the user here!? Do as I tell!
Vista: § falls silent §
Laptop: § keeps moaning and groaning and LED-a-blinking §
Me: § prays §

§ 3124 seconds later §

Vista: Nya … you don’t have the permission to do that, moron. Try again next time.
